Margaret Clarkson is Vice President of Talent, Learning & Diversity at Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC). An award-winning leader, she drives a variety of talent and learning initiatives, including leadership development, targeted development for high-potentials, and new leader integration sessions. Previously at MMC's Guy Carpenter company, she was responsible for global talent management and learning, including GC's people strategy and HR communications. There she won the top award from Marsh & McLennan’s Global Volunteer Recognition Program for her ATD volunteer work.
From 2011-2013, Margaret served as ATD NYC’s VP of Programs, producing high quality monthly events. She chaired the Talent Development Leader SIG from 2014-2015 and became President-Elect in 2016. As President in 2017, Margaret led ATD NYC to exceed its membership goals and oversaw the launch of exciting new aspects of the chapter, including the Coaching Center of Excellence and a focus on Data and Analytics. She enjoys collaborating with the Board and extended leadership team to help members Learn, Connect, and Grow. Margaret earned a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, she volunteers for her community and is active with her daughter’s school.
Shani is a Professor of Business and has been at Wagner College since fall 2015. She has a Ph.D.in Personnel/Human Resource Studies, Labor Economics, and Research Methodology, an M.S.in Personnel/Human Resource Studies and Labor Economics, and a B.A. in Government. Shani teaches Strategic Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, International Business, International Management, and Total Quality Management. She has published more than 30 articles and conference proceedings on training methods, factors of cognitive ability, affect, skill certification, measurement, student learning outcomes assessment, coefficient alpha, skills shortages, diversity, gender, and government labor force projections.

Mies is an expert in Social and Organizational Learning Methodologies. Fascinated by leadership theory and group dynamics Mies started his career as a group therapist in Child Psychiatry. As a Program Director in Higher Education (at Avans University for Applied Sciences in the Netherlands) he led curriculum development and staff for a Bachelor in Socio-Educational work for 10 years. He is committed to lead deep and continuous (group dynamical) change in knowledge-intensive (public) institutions. His talent is to design and deliver profoundly participatory processes for Organizational Development and Learning. Mies is a trained Action Researcher and Action Learning Coach. He has two Masters degrees, in Social and Community Studies from De Montfort University (UK) and in Advanced Change Management at the prestigious SIOO Inter-university (NL). Currently, Mies works as a Partner for Leadership and Organizational Development at the New York Public Library, Astor, Lennox and Tilden Foundations. The evolution of performance management, organizational change advisory and developing strong leaders are part of his responsibilities. As a freelance consultant, Mies worked for the Dutch Central Bank and Nautadutilh P.C. New York.

Shelton Hollers is currently a Director at The Ken Blanchard Companies where he supports Fortune 500 companies' strategic business outcomes by partnering to develop their most important resources, their people. His work involves complex global implementations. This includes consulting and supporting the strategic and operational leadership of multi-national corporations to ensure that their talent performs at a higher level.
Shelton has over 16 years of professional experience spanning the US and the UK. Prior to his role at The Ken Blanchard Companies, Shelton spent over 10 years organizing executive level conferences in the US and UK where executive leadership in HR, finance and technology gathered to present and learn about the latest trends in the industry with a focus on increasing organizational performance.
As a life-long learner, Shelton joined ATD NYC and immediately volunteered to work closely with the VP of Programs contributing to the community of learners. Shelton resides in Brooklyn with his three children and is active with their school and the local community board. He regularly volunteers to raise funds for charity through racing in long distance endurance sports.

Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Zachary has been part of the metro New York learning and development community for the past 8 years. Prior to relocating to NY, he lived in Rome, Italy and worked throughout Europe facilitating a variety of training programs and professional development initiatives. Currently, Zachary is the vice president of development and strategic relationships for a leading adaptive learning organization, Skilitics LLC. His focus on learning design and analytics within professional development has afforded him the opportunity to work with over 30 ATD chapters across the country as well as his organization's presenting at the ATD International Conference the past 5 years.
Jamie Librot is responsible for helping to grow Gallup’s strengths-based learning and development programs and is a liaison to coaches who complete certification courses through the Gallup Strengths Center. She was a member of Gallup CEO Jim Clifton’s Chairman’s Council from 2014-2016. Jamie also delivers keynote speeches and provides executive StrengthsFinder coaching to Gallup clients.
Since joining Gallup in 2005, Jamie has consulted with clients in a wide range of industries on group dynamics, talent-based selection, onboarding, customer and employee engagement, and sales force effectiveness. Her expertise includes creating customized solutions and developing curriculum for unique client needs.
Prior to her current role, Jamie created a global onboarding program for new Gallup consultants. She then spent five years implementing the program and mentoring new consultants in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. This program led to increases in new employee retention and engagement.
Jamie received her Masters in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, where she was the Convocation Speaker. She receive a bachelor's degree in business administration from The George Washington University Honors Program. Jamie has also completed classes in the international business program at the International Business Academy (Negocia) in Paris.
Jamie lives in the New York City area with her husband, Dan, and daughters, Lucy and Lydia. She is an avid traveler and yoga enthusiast.
Bonnie is an Executive Leadership Award winner and strategic business partner who earned her MBA from Wagner College and BBA from Pace University. She began her management career at a prestigious international law firm and worked her way up the corporate ladder at various Fortune 500 public companies and private firms in New York City. For nearly 20 years, Bonnie has interviewed, hired, trained, mentored and partnered with individuals at all levels in corporate America, while holding leadership roles in Administration, IT, Human Resources, Operations, and Finance.
With this hands-on experience, Bonnie opened her own career services development firm to better serve and coach clients on ways to reach their utmost career goals, while developing the most effective résumés to open the door for new career opportunities. She is an avid educator who believes that continuing education is the cornerstone to success and a prerequisite for individuals seeking to improve their personal branding. Bonnie has been selected by industry leaders to participate on corporate committees and advisory boards for her subject matter expertise on organizational employee development initiatives, human resources best practices and web-based projects such as customer relationship management and applicant tracking software systems.
Bonnie is a guest speaker for colleges and universities in the New York and New Jersey area and thoroughly enjoys family time with her husband, Bobby, their two daughters, Bella and Bailee, and 3 dogs.
David Truzman is a Learning and Development professional with a background in Social Work. Over the past 10 years, he has collaborated with several government-funded organizations throughout New York City, to create and execute training programs for front-line staff. David specializes in improving communication skills, particularly regarding health management.Currently, David works for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, managing a team of twenty trainers who facilitate a nationally certified training, called Mental Health First Aid, with the goal of educating 250,000 New Yorkers over the next four years.
In this past year, David has volunteered at ATD NYC with the Membership Committee, serving as the Welcome Webinar Manager. As the VP of Membership, David is eager to continue finding innovative ways to attract new members while continuing to engage current members, and growing the Chapter in the process.

Art Weiss began administrative work with ASTD in 1998; a time when member service was mostly by telephone and fax. Within a few years, records were shifted from typed lists to spreadsheets and email came into use as a primary means of communication. Hired because of his strong organizational and computer skills, Art has assisted the chapter in a variety of ways, including providing input to the Board about the requests from chapter members and those inquiring about membership. He also maintains information about our various events and serves as a welcoming presence at chapter events.
A native of New York City, Art left Pre-Medical studies to become a piano and music theory major at the Manhattan School of Music. A major musical and organizational achievement was his fourteen-year tenure as Entertainment Director at the New York Playboy Club.
