PEER COACHING SUPERVISION GROUP

Committed to Advancing Excellence in Coaching

We currently have a monthly face-to-face group in session. We are not accepting further applications for this group at this time. Please register your interest for any future groups with the Director of the Coaching Center of Excellence, Angela Wright at angela.wright@atdnyc.org.

As part of ATD NYC’s desire to be a leader in our industry, in 2017 we are launching a Peer Coaching Supervision Group (PCSG) for executive coaches. The PCSG will provide members with the opportunity to participate in Peer Coaching Supervision facilitated by Angela Wright.

ATD NYC is committed to advancing excellence in the practice of coaching and recognizes that Coaching Supervision not only makes an important contribution to the professional development and quality assurance of coaches, but in maintaining the integrity of the coaching industry.

Our Purpose & Approach

The purpose of the PCSG will be twofold, to provide:

  1. Peer Supervision to ATD NYC members - helping them face the challenges inherent in the practice of coaching though a process of reflection, insight and support.
  2. A forum for sharing the latest thinking, practice and cutting edge research as it relates to coaching and leadership.

How will it work?

A Coach will bring his or her coaching cases and experiences to the PCSG in order to engage in reflective dialogue and collaborative learning. The PCSG will offer a confidential space in which the practice, tasks, process and challenges of a coach’s work may be explored.

Why Coaching Supervision & why now?

Over the last two decades the use of coaching as a means of enhancing performance and development in organizations has increased substantially. This trend shows no sign of slowing down. Rather, the use of external and internal coaches is set to grow significantly.

While professional supervision has long been a necessity in professions, such as psychotherapy, it has only recently begun to find a place in the field of coaching. However, this is changing and changing fast.

Coaching Supervision is a growing international trend and is seen as a key differentiator in the market place. Increasingly, corporate clients are requiring Supervision as part of their hiring criteria and quality assurance process.

Who can apply?

The PCSG is free for members of the ATD New York City Chapter and is open to both internal and external executive coaches who have an active coaching practice. The Supervision sessions will initially be held monthly for 6 months.  While we appreciate that sometimes unexpected events arise, participants are expected to commit to attend all sessions.

How can I apply?

We currently have a monthly face-to-face group in session. We are not accepting further applications for this group at this time. Please register your interest for any future groups with the Director of the Coaching Center of Excellence, Angela Wright at angela.wright@atdnyc.org.

Angela Wright will be reviewing each application and ensuring that we have the right mix of experience and diversity to create the most valuable experience for all participants.
